TOM HINGLEY
of Inspiral
Carpets
We are thrilled to have
the lead vocalist of one of the most influential bands to have ever
sprung from Manchester: The Inspiral Carpets.
Far from taking a rest
after the band split in 1995, Tom has maintained a very successful solo
career and currently fronts The Lovers.
Tom is releasing his
3rd solo album on the 19th October and will be joining us to perform his
acoustic set, playing guitar and banjo, and dropping in the odd
Inspiral Carpets' song.
With
support from FIONA HANLON. Local acoustic guitarist and singer,
who always gives her all to the audience. You'll get blues, country,
jazz, traditional, folk, rock - well, just about everything!

THE REAL THING
THE YOU TO ME ARE EVERYTHING TOUR
“YOU TO ME ARE EVERYTHING “ BRITAIN’S NO 1 LOVE SONG PERFORMED BY BRITAIN’S
NUMBER ONE SOUL BAND
Still Featuring three original singers, the Amoo brothers Chris and Eddy, and
Dave Smith.
THE REAL THING had a number 1 hit in 2 decades with this classic. In the
1970’s they had a total of 3 number one hits "You to me are everything"
"Cant get by without you" & "Feel the Force" .
These were all No 1 again in the 80's when
remixed and reissued. These plus “You’ll never know what your missing”
& “Whenever you want my love” were their five biggest hits.
According to the Guinness book of records, they were the UK's best selling
black group of the late 70's and only fellow Liverpudlians "The Beatles" &
"Frankie goes to Hollywood" have had more singles in the all time 100.
In more recent times they had their version of ELEANOR RIGBY on the chart
album LIVERPOOL THE NUMBER ONES on EMI, and also just released on UNIVERSAL
RECORDS is THE SINGLES COLLECTION; a 35 track double album.
Come feel the force, have a great night and relive the sounds of the 70’s &
80's as they also include a medley including their versions of
“Celebration”, “Ladies Night” & “Ain’t no stopping us now”

THE WHOLIGANS
The Wholigans capture not only the sound and
essence of The Who but could easily pass for the original members of The Who.
The band concentrates on
the Live at Leeds era, but their set list contains a majority of the most
popular material from The Who’s catalogue from day one until the untimely
death of Keith Moon.
From the stage clothes to the authentic
stagegear plus capturing the mannerisms of The Who, The Wholigans bring back
memories of a Who of yesteryear which has to be seen to be believed.
With the thrashing windmills
of Pete Townshend, the mic swinging of Roger Daltrey and the incredible
drumming style of Keith Moon combined with the thunderfingers of John
Entwistle. The Wholigans seem to have captured the total package that is
The Who.
The band were brilliant when they joined us
last September - don't miss their return!

Joining us from Adelaide, Australia on their UK tour:
TRACER
Forming out of the ashes of blues prodigy band The Brown Brothers
in 2004, Michael (Vocals and guitar) and Leigh Brown (Vocals and Bass)
teamed up with drummer Andre Wise to make Tracer.
With a sound reminiscent of 90’s grunge/stoner rock mixed with the
everlasting bravado of 70’s classic rock, Tracer is a driving, sonic
sledgehammer of massive guitars, clever hooks and raw uncompromising
vocals.
After two years of gigging in their hometown of Adelaide, Tracer
released their debut EP Into
The Night (2007) and toured through regional
South Australia, Melbourne and Sydney with airplay on community radios.
During 2008 and 2009 Tracer took on an extensive touring schedule
with multiple trips to Melbourne, a swag of successful Adelaide shows
including a capacity crowd at the album launch for their second
critically acclaimed album "L.A.?"
L.A.? is an album that you need turn up
loud and chug beer to. End
of the Samurai kicks in with a monstrous riff
and dramatic vocals. Tracer’s first single
Wrecking Ball
bears its teeth at track three, introducing listeners to
Michael’s beautifully brutal, one-of-a-kind baritone guitar. Unlike
previous releases, Leigh Brown’s enormous voice is on display on two
tracks and the band’s impressive musicianship shines on crowd favourite
Sleep By The Fire.
In late 2009, Tracer toured Europe for three and a half months taking
in Germany, Holland, U.K., Denmark, Switzerland, Czech. Tracer also
toured as part of The Great Australian Wave (a showcase that was to play
PopKomm in Germany). Due to the success of Tracer’s first international
tour, the band will be returning in 2010 for another whirlwind tour to
solidify their presence in the European rock scene and summer festival
circuit.
"There is pure energy from first to last note, they do their thing so
good it`s practically impossible not to go along with it." Bernd
Bruggermann – www.musik.australische-kultur.de (Germany)
"Tracer quite simply blew the audience away with their grandiose
sound…Their set was as intriguing as their party tricks (guitars played
behind heads and drums played backwards), which received much praise
along with the frontman's fierce guitar work" Monika Laskowski – dB

STEREOPHONICS
BY THE STEREOTONICS
Formed in 1999, Stereotonics
are now considered by many, as the official tribute to Stereophonics.
From humble beginnings, Stereotonics have now emerged as one of the UK's
finest tribute bands. After getting airplay on National radio stations such as
Radio 1 and Virgin Radio even the real Stereophonics have now heard them and
agree that they sound good.
All of this from what started out as a hobby all those years ago, is just
testament to the skill and finesse each and every show contains be it to an
intimate pub venue or a huge festival gig in front of thousands of people. The
fact is that whatever the stage, Stereotonics deliver.
members have other commitments.
Unfortunately the band
couldn't play the June gig so this one is very much anticipated!
There's loads more info on

THE BEATLES & BEYOND
GARY GIBSON'S
THE BEATLE YEARS
with the solo careers of John, Paul, George & Ringo
They all look and sound like
their Fantastic Fab Four counterparts - unlike most Beatle Tributes of the
day. The new band not only do the 1962-1969 Beatles catalogue of songs, but
also the ''Solo'' years of each Beatle.
Gary explains: "Any Beatles fans worth their salt WILL want to hear John's
IMAGINE, George's MY SWEET LORD, Paul's MULL OF KINTYRE, and of course Ringo's
PHOTOGRAPH. The list of classic tracks is almost endless - even in the Solo
Years." He adds: ''Not only do the band play ALL the hit singles, but ALL the
B-side classics too!
"Lennon wanted to tour in 1981, after his hit album "Double Fantasy." The
world was deprived of that fantastic ''Happening'' because a maniac (whose
name I cant even bear to mention) murdered John on that fateful day, December
8th, 1980.
"Would the Beatles have had a Reunion Performance? No-one knows, but this
exciting new band might well be the nearest thing fans will ever get to living
the dream!''

Simon McBride
After recently announcing his opening of
legend JOE SATRIANI'S shows, we are indeed lucky to have SIMON McBRIDE
at Bootleggers.
As both a virtuoso guitarist and an
Irishman (hailing from near Belfast, Northern Ireland) comparisons are
often made with Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore, though he sounds like
neither in particular.
Simon first started playing at age 10 and (self taught) entered and won
Guitarist Magazine's Young Guitarist of the Year competition when he was
15.

He was immediately recruited by Sweet Savage (Vivian Campbell/Def
Leppard) with whom he recorded two albums and regularly played major
festivals. That was 13 years ago, since when he has toured the world as
guitarist for diverse acts including Grammy nominated soulman Andrew
Strong.
Along the way he has played with artists like TM Stevens, Charlie
Morgan, Zorro, Hugh Burns, Slash and Steve Lukather.
He has demonstrated for Marshall amplifiers and Paul Reed Smith Guitars
(PRS) and is endorsed by PRS and Hughes & Kettner amplifiers.
Writing, recording and releasing an own album of mostly original songs
opens a new chapter. As the time-honoured phrase goes - watch this
space!

THE VOICE OF THE LITTLE ANGELS, GUN
& FASTWAY:
TOBY JEPSON
ONE MAN SHOW
Joining us once more on the
warm up for his SKIN tour, Toby Jepson began his career as a professional
musician fronting UK Rock Band ‘The Little Angels’
The band formed in 1986 at Sixth Form College in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
After touring consistently around the UK, producing their own mini album and
eventually getting spotted by York based management company ‘Song management’
they started to gather national interest, first appearing on Channel four
programme ‘famous for 15 minutes’. This led to selling out shows around the
country and to getting invited to open for bands such as Guns 'n' Roses, Tesla
and Faith No More.
Due to their considerable
live work the band gathered a reputation as one of the most exciting British
acts of the time. This eventually led to getting signed to Polydor records in
May of 1988.

AYNSLEY
LISTER
Aynsley Lister is the blues
man with the ‘boy-next-door’ looks, the dexterous guitar fingers and the silky
voice; the one that plays contemporary blues as if its the most natural and
most commercial thing you can do. Lister brings a new lightness, fresh
optimism to an old form with his wonderfully intelligent take on the blues.
Lister is possibly the most universally commercially viable of all the
bluesmen out there; his music flirts with the darker side of indie-rock but is
anchored firmly and securely in the heart of the blues. Lister has a lightness
of feel, a new and expansive energy that will appeal to the younger listener
still just toying with the form, Lister’s a new-age bluesman methinks!
Lister’s expansive but still rooted music rocks and motivates as much as it
moves and impassions; Lister’s blues is blues with a modern twist – all the
guitar virtuosity you could ask for, all the bitter-sweet reality that’s
needed and all stereotypical nuances of the form wrapped up in compositional
modernity and futuristic thinking. Blues for the modern ‘man’ perhaps!
