ALBERT LEE & HOGAN'S
HEROES
Albert Lee, by common consent
one of the world’s finest guitar-players, needs no introduction to Country
Music & Rock fans.
He has worked with some of the world's top artists, from Emmylou Harris to the
Everly Brothers, Dolly Parton to Eric Clapton.
In November 2002, at Eric's request, Albert appeared at the star-studded
Memorial Concert for George Harrison at London's Albert Hall, and was featured
alongside Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill and Eric Clapton at Eric’s 2007 Crossroads
guitar festival.
He is a member of Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings, and fronted the band at the O2
arena on the night of the Led Zeppelin reunion concert.
Albert is a Grammy award winning musician, whose talents continue to be in
demand by fellow performers the world over.
HOGAN’S HEROES
This multi-talented band features some of the top musicians in the UK.
Hogan's Heroes was formed by their namesake Gerry Hogan over 20 years ago,
specifically to back Albert. Their first gig took place in 1987 at Gerry’s
annual festival for pedal steel guitar.
They have played together on a regular basis since that time, and as a result
have become one of the tightest units in music.

STEREOTONICS
Formed in 1999, Stereotonics are widely
regarded as the official Stereophonics tribute band. With a
wealth of gigging experience and after over 9 years on the road they can claim
to have played more shows than the real band themselves and any other
Stereophonics tribute band in the country!
Lead singer, Paul, has made many TV appearances in the quest to get
Stereotonics as much recognition as possible over the years and has
appeared on ITV, BBC, Sky News, GMTV, Absolute Radio (formerly Virgin Radio)
BBC Radio plus many local radio stations up and down the country. Indeed, the
real Stereophonics have even heard them play and agree that they
rock as much as the real thing.

Chas now performs his tribute to Rock ‘ n’ Roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis, with
songs and stories about an artiste he toured and recorded with.

DAN BAIRD &
HOMEMADE SIN
Runka, runka, three chords and a cloud of dust. The GEORGIA
SATELLITES were one of the most ferocious bands of the 80's and what set them
apart from the other 10,000 groups who cranked their amps up to 11 was that
their wild riffs and tanked cries came from a band that, from the start,
understood it's place in rock tradition and fought hard to solidify it with
each recording

THE ORIGINAL STEVE GIBBONS BAND
The Steve Gibbons Band were causing a stir across the UK in
the 70's when Pete Townshend discovered and mentored them leading to a
recording deal with Polydor and touring the World with
The Who for 3 years.
They had a UK Top 10 hit with "Tulane" and recorded 4 albums
for Polydor and even Roger Daltrey covered "One of the Boys" for his solo
album.
Punk & New Wave changed the record industries way of
thinking so the original band split, leading to drummer,
Bob Lamb becoming a high profile recording
producer, notably for UB40, Duran Duran, Ruby Turner, Stephen Tin Tin Duffy &
Ocean Colour Scene.
Bob Wilson
went on to be MD of the Ruby Turner Band as well as playing guitar for many
top Birmingham bands over the past 20 years.
Dave Carroll
is a highly respected classical musician who works for the Royal Shakespeare
Company in Stratford upon Avon. He still plays a mean lead guitar!
Trevor Burton,
original member of The Move, has fronted his own Trevor Burton Band since the
split and is still busy to this day.
Steve Gibbons
continues to play his music live across the UK & Europe after over 4 decades
in the business covering more miles than NASA's Space Shuttle Program!

Pet Sto Metrov - 500m
We are excited to announce that Pet Sto Metrov
will be joining us on the their European tour.
From Zrece, Slovenia, this 6 piece rock
band's set comprises of their own pieces and some covers for good measure,
influenced mainly by British bands such as Deep Purple, Uriah Heap, Led Zep,
Aerosmith, Clapton, etc.

Guitarist Janez has already been in the area, his home town
of Zrece having been twinned with Sedbergh. Janez came with 70 other musicians
from Slovenia, and together with local Kendal and Sedbergh musicans and
singers they greeted the arrival of the Slovenian Ambassador His Excellency
Iztok Jarc at Oxenholme station.
So this promises to be a good dose of something a little
different!! |
